“Growing up as a very active youth and involved in various contact sports, I had sustained several injuries and became quite familiar with the healing arts professions. The Chiropractic profession attracted me very early due to its hands-on, drug-free, prevention-focused approach. My mother had a severe low back injury and was told that she required surgery and quickly considered other options. She was referred by a friend to a Chiropractor and within 3 months she was pain-free. She began referring all her family and friends to this ‘new-found’ profession.”
Dr. Dan graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he met his wife Cynthia. They both graduated in 2005, returning to her hometown of Guelph.
Away from Family Chiropractic Centre
Dr. Dan enjoys being outside and playing with his awesome kids, regardless of the weather or season. You will also find Dr Dan and Dr Cynthia at our local Royal City Crossfit box enjoying some discomfort and socializing. Joking, Dr Dan will describe himself as a recovering endurance/chronic cardio athlete having previously completed Ironman Lake Placid and Mont Tremblant as well as many other long distance triathlons and running races over the years.
Dr. Dan tries to practice what he preaches with his own family. He believes that we can lead a very healthy and pro-active life through a balance of proper alignment and nerve function through regular Chiropractic care, ancestral wisdom, daily mobility, physical activity, whole foods (along with individualized supplementation), being barefoot, restful sleep and effective stress-coping techniques. Teaching and implementing this knowledge as early as possible is the greatest form of prevention. This is what Dr Dan researches and teaches the families he takes care of every day.
